About the FOUR.tographer

My name is Vanessa FOURnier and I have had a creative spark as far back as I can remember. When I was younger, I could always be found with a crayon, marker, paintbrush, or colouring book in my hands. To my dismay, I've also always had crazy stubborn hair. It wasn’t until I was a teenager that I discovered I could be creative with a camera too. I pursued my college studies in the art of photography and it has been love ever since.

More about me...

My little family and I live in a little yellow country house on a one acre property on the outskirts of Morrisburg, Ontario (about an hour South of Ottawa) and I like to think we live the country life. We have a dog, a cat, FOUR chickens (for eggs), a beehive (fresh honey!), and a vegetable garden. And we wouldn't have it any other way!

Food is my second passion; eating it, cooking it, growing it, buying it, and of course, photographing it! In my spare time, I love to be in the kitchen and I rarely follow a recipe.

My idea of a perfect day is a cool fall day spent snuggled up on the couch with my family, some snacks, and my favourite blanket (this giant fluffy, oh-so tacky blanket I've had since I was 11 that my husband always makes fun of me for) watching my favourite movies or TV shows (My Go-To's: Harry Potter, Dirty Dancing, The Office, Lost).

I can most often be found barefoot. I like things simple and uncomplicated and I believe in finding joy in everything. My motto is that "life is too short"; it's too short to be miserable, it's too short to work a job you hate, it's too short to eat a meal you don't enjoy, it's too short to be around people who don't make you feel like the best version of yourself, and it's too short to just let it pass you by.

I would imagine that if you are reading this or thinking of contacting me that you have similar values. I would love to get to know you too and showcase the things that mean the most to you, whether it be your beautiful family, your love story, your blooming business, or something you're just dang proud of! I can't wait to meet you!
